Description
This workshop/roundtable for MetComms international group in weather communications, is designed for weather communicators, broadcast meteorologists and scientists in forecast dissemination & action. The aim of our initiative and the style of this group is to be very practical, leaving plenty of room for discussion, exchange, and even unstructured dialogue. We hope to discuss and refine communication strategies in weather practice and forecasting, emphasising the effective delivery of impacts and warnings. Key topics include ensuring user comprehension, integrating design-driven forecasts, and addressing warning styles. We also exchange experiences of best practice in communicating with stakeholders and local authorities. The session will be conducted in a hybrid mode, accommodating both in-person and virtual participants of the group. We welcome attendees from diverse backgrounds that wish to join our efforts in collaborative communication.
